Loch Morlich (Loch Mhùrlaig) is a freshwater loch in the heart of the Cairngorms National park
.The Loch is surrounded by beautiful woodland and a lovely beach. Only a 10 minute drive Aviemore, Morlich has a watersports centre with kayaking, sailing and windsurfing to enjoy. There are also a yacht club and cycling routes around the loch.
I had expected the Loch to be much busier than it was, on that day, it wasn’t too cold and the beach was pretty much deserted apart from the ducks, who seemed to be enjoying the October sunshine too.
