With the Northern Cairngorms in the background I am almost envious of these ducks that live at Loch Morlich! The marvellous beaches at 1000ft long are enjoyable to walk along at any time of year, and Morlich is the only freshwater Loch to achieve a Rural Beach Award for excellent quality of the water.
There are approximately 250,000 people visiting the area every year to enjoy the outdoor activities on offer, therefore I don’t believe these feathered friends will be looking to relocate elsewhere anytime soon, as immediately after sitting down at a bench to enjoy a well earned snack the ducks were straight over in the hope of getting a few nibbles of what we had with us.
