Day 6 of the January photo challenge already! I took this photograph on 20th July 2010.
Loch an Eilein is in the heart of the ancient pine forests of Rothiemurchus, and translated from Gaelic means ‘Loch of the Island’. The area is fantastic for just relaxing on the shore or having a paddle in the Loch, or following one of the many trails in the estate.
The reflections from the boat and ruined castle upon the loch looked so serene, with the bright orange from the float just adding a flash of colour to give attention to the ‘Veronica Mary’.
